My newest obsession is a great chambray shirt. I love how easy it is to throw on a denim button down and look put together within minutes. I know it can seem daunting to try and pair denim with denim, so for those of you who feel like you can't wear this trend, try wearing your chambray shirt with a pair of white skinnies. You will love how classic the look is, and not only will you look chic but you will be comfortable too!

Rainy Days in Norcal

I am going home to Northern California this weekend and it is supposed to be rainy and cold the whole time I am there. My family and I intend on just hanging out and we don't have anything glamorous planned like my last trip home where we had a jam packed weekend of fancy restaurants, an overnight in Napa and a day trip to Monterey. Because of our laid back agenda, I am only packing comfortable "rainy day" clothes like rain boots, jelly flats (so they wont be ruined if they get wet) and a north face rain jacket and fleece. I like the idea of brightening up all the overcast days ahead of me with a bright watch like the Michael Kors one below, and since I will not be getting any color on this vacation, I intend to brighten my complexion with some much needed bronzer and highlighting cream.

Dark Wash Denim

There are two things most women dread shopping for, bathing suits and jeans. Denim is a staple in women and men's closets, however it can be a frustrating and sometimes an emotional journey to find the perfect pair for your body. One style that every woman should own is a dark wash boot cut jean. The boot cut flatters just about every figure and can be dressed up or dressed down when in a dark wash. Designer Jeans for Under $100

If Santa missed the letter you wrote him about how you need a pair of $300 designer jeans because they just seem to make your derrière look a little better, you don't have to settle for those other brands just yet. White Hot or Cold

Labor day has come and gone, officially ending the summer season, and with this holiday comes the much debated question, "Is white acceptable after Labor Day?" For me it has always been a simple answer, Yes! White has no expiration date, instead white clothes depend on temperature. In the heat of spring and summer time, white is great in denim, light cottons, linen, any material that is thin and airy. As the temperature drops, white clothes should shift into thicker fabrics such as wool, silk or tweed. So throw out the old wives tale that white is unacceptable after Labor Day and wear white all winter long. Just change your fabrics and you will be chic and sharp in white. Casual look for Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial day weekend marks the start of summer time. Most of us spend the weekend outside at barbecues, picnics, and pool partys, taking full advantage of an extended weekend. So what does one wear over Memorial Day Weekend? It really depends on what you are doing, but most likely casual attire will fit the dress code. I'm craving some jean shorts

Finding a new pair of jeans that fit you just right can be difficult, but finding a pair of jean shorts that fit and flatter can be an even harder task. It is important to find the right style for your body, but with all the options out there how do you choose? There are long shorts and short shorts, frayed bohemian jean shorts, and dark tailored shorts. Here are a few of my favorite styles to help you choose the right one for you!

1. Gap makes this classic pair of cut off dark denim short shorts. For a more flattering look try a dark denim (with no fading!) in a short short. I love to pair short shorts with a flowing, billowy top to counter the smaller bottoms. Try something in a floral or a cool graphic print. 2. These "Woodstock" faded jeans remind me of just that, the 70's. When wearing lighter denim try a longer style like this pair by Paige Denim. The frayed hem ads to the hippie chick feel.
